The
scheme is always looking to take on
new VOLUNTEER DRIVERS
to help
support
the community car scheme.

What
is needed to become a volunteer driver.
- Licences should be full and not provisional, preferably without
endorsements.
- There is no age discrimination, drivers must be confident and
experienced.
- All drivers need to be police-..checked.
- A MOT certificate should be valid.
- Sports cars, and vans are unsuitable for taking passengers as
passengers need easy access.
- Legally, only third party insurance is required, but it is good if
the driver has comprehensive insurance, owner -drivers will be
requested to inform their insurance companies that they are
volunteer drivers.
- All volunteer drivers will be given ID
- Mileage is tax free approved under the
(FCPS) scheme.
